The Wolf’s best bet saluted on Friday and he went 5-2 in the early games. Read on for the Wolf’s best bets on Saturday.
Baltimore Orioles at Cleveland Indians (9:10am)
The Indians are the hottest team in the Majors as they’ve won 15 in a row. So the Orioles will try and end the streak on Saturday. But the Indians lead the head to head this season 3-1 and they won 6-3 in the same pitching matchup back in June. Wade Miley from the Orioles earned 4 runs in that game and he has a 5.03 career ERA against the Indians. He also has a 5.19 ERA on the road this season with a 5-6 record. So the Indians should enjoy facing him. In the Indians last home game they scored 12 runs against the Royals and they’re ranked number 1 in MLB for runs scored in the last 7 days. Mike Clevinger is their starter for this game and he allowed 4 runs last year against the Orioles at home. He has a 4.70 ERA at home this season and the Wolf can see runs flowing here. The over runs total is 3-0 in the last three games between the teams at Cleveland. So the Wolf says this is the best bet in this game.
Los Angeles Angels at Seattle Mariners (12:10pm)
The Mariners host the Angels in an important game on Saturday afternoon. The Angels are just outside the second Wildcard spot, while the Mariners are 3.5 games back. The Mariners are the favourites here but this should be a close game. Especially since the Angels are 4-0 against them and 9-4 overall this season. But their starter Ricky Nolasco has struggled in Seattle this season. In his two starts at Seattle, the Mariners have scored a total of 9 runs against him in 9.1 innings. Both games were decided by a run and the over total went 2-0. His ERA on the road this season is 5.17 and his W-L record is poor at 3-7. Also, the over total is 5-1 in his last 6 starts. For the Mariners, Mike Leake is making his second start for the team after he was traded from the Cardinals. He pitched 7 innings against the Athletics at home and the Mariners won by a run. His only career start against the Angels came last season as he pitched 8 innings and allowed just 6 hits. But his record in his last seven starts in 2017 is 1-4 with a 7.23 ERA. The Mariners have lost three in a row at home so the Wolf will be looking at the total runs. It’s 5-5 against the overs in the last 10 meetings, but the form of Nolasco in Seattle has the Wolf leaning towards the over total as the best bet.
