New York Yankees at New York Mets (9:10am)
The Subway Series between the Mets and Yankees continues this Saturday at Citi Field. The Yankees are looking the form side with a dominant 40-18 record and an 8-2 record in their last 10. In contrast, the Mets are looking to avoid a 7th straight defeat and have won just 2 games in their last 10. They’ve also lost 8 straight games at Citi Field. So they’ll be hoping Jacob deGrom can keep the Yankees bats quiet. He’s looking in great touch with 4 straight starts going 7 innings. His ERA at home in 2018 is under 2 and team’s are batting .206. Masahiro Tanaka gets the ball for the Yankees. They’re 7-0 when he hits the mound as he has been getting run support. He allowed 3 home runs in his latest start and has given up a total of 9 in his last 5 starts. Despite a 5.17 ERA on the road, his win-loss record is sitting at 5-0. So in the end, the Wolf believes the Mets are due for a win at home and they’ll be up for this game against their arch-rival. deGrom can dominate the Yankees lineup as well. So the Wolf is getting on the Mets.
Atlanta Braves at Los Angeles Dodgers (12:10pm)
The Dodgers and Braves start an interesting series on Saturday. The home side is starting to find form with a 7-3 record in their last 10. The batting lineup has been the key with 55 runs scored in their last 6 games. The Braves are 36-26 on the season and will be looking to keep pace with the Nationals in the NL East. They are scoring 5.03 runs per game this season, which ranks 4th in MLB. So the Wolf will be predicting a high scoring affair. The over is 3-1 at this venue between the two sides since 2017. The total hasn’t gone under 7.5 runs in all 4 of those games as well. On the hill, the right-handed Walker Buehler will get the start for the Dodgers in this game. He is 3-1 on the season and holds a 2.74 ERA. He is coming off a 4 run outing against the Rockies and could do the same against the Braves. Meanwhile for the Braves, former Dodger Brandon McCarthy gets the ball. He owns a 4.83 ERA with a 5-2 win-loss record. His ERA on the road is fairly high at 4.22. So in the end, the Wolf will be sticking with the overs.
