Colorado Rockies at SF Giants (12:15pm) (Best)

Tip: Giants WIN ($1.45)

Madison Bumgarner (9-4, 2.20 ERA) steps out to face the Rockies for the 25th time in his career on Wednesday as he looks to pick up victory number 13, going 12-6 with a 3.11 ERA against Colorado. He likes to hurt the Rockies from the other side of the plate as well, hitting four of his 13 career HR’s off the Rockies pitching staff. He went through a rough two game skid recently but bounced back to beat Oakland in his last start, even though he gave up four runs in 6.1 innings. He’s 1-0 with a 2.03 ERA this season against Colorado. The Rockies are currently losers of six straight contests and have scored a combined three runs in their last four losses. Even with Trevor Story back in the lineup Tuesday, they struggled at the plate and could only manage the one run in the 3-1 loss. Tyler Chatwood (8-4, 3.15 ERA) returns from the DL and has been much better than expected this year. In 85.2 innings, he’s given up just the six HR’s and has actually kept the ball in the park in his last six outings. That’s impressive for a guy who pitches at Coors Field for a living. Runs will be at a premium in this one and the Giants should just sneak home.

Texas Rangers at Boston Red Sox (9:10am)

Tip: Over 9 runs ($1.91)

Boston have responded quite well to their embarrassing thumping at the hands of the Angels over the weekend, picking up a pair of wins off the back of it including  a 12-5 win against Texas in game one of the series. They now turn to David Price (8-5, 4.74 ERA) to keep the momentum going and attempt to lock down the Rangers hitters. He is coming off a 10 strikeout performance against Tampa Bay, even though he went on to lose that matchup. While Price did go through a nice piece of form in April & May, he’s again fallen off the pace in his two recent starts. The Rangers have now lost 3 of their starting rotation and send AJ Griffin (3-0, 2.93 ERA) to the hill to face the big bats of Boston. He faced Boston just last month and lasted only 4.1 innings, giving up two runs and four hits in the process. There was a combined 37 hits in game one of this series and 17 runs scored and Fenway has been home to plenty of games just like this one so far. Have a look at the Boston run total as well, if it’s under 5 get on board.
