The Wolf has pasted 1000 winners on the season, however the Red Sox had a shocker in the best bet on Monday. So he’ll be looking to rebound with 10+ winners on Tuesday. The best chances of an upset are the Padres, Marlins, Phillies and the D-Backs. The Yankees face Dylan Bundy and the Wolf is tipping the under runs. But in Chicago, runs should flow between the Indians and White Sox. The same can be said for the Twins clash against the Rays.
Texas Rangers at Atlanta Braves (9:35am)
Texas head to Atlanta for the first time since 2011 on Tuesday and they need to win this one. They’re 3 games back in the AL Wildcard and they have a 4-2 record in their last 6 games. On the mound for this game is Andrew Cashner and he’s coming off 8 innings / 3 hits against the Astros. In his last seven starts, his ERA is just 2.76 with a 4-1 record. However, he doesn’t have a great record in Atlanta. His last outing went 2 innings and he earned 7 runs. He was playing for the Marlins last year and the Braves won that clash 12-7. Overall, his road ERA is 4.13 this season and his W-L record is 4-6. For the Braves, they lost three of four against the Cubs recently on the road. But they’re back at home for a 6 game homestand. R.A Dickey is up for the Braves and he also went 8 innings in his last outing. However, he has earned 4 runs in two straight starts at home and the Braves lost both games. In his last home start, the total runs reached 15 runs and the Wolf is leaning on the overs in this one. The Rangers are 3-0 against the over total and they’ve scored 21 runs in those games. The Braves conceded 14 runs a few days ago so the Wolf is predicting a high scoring game.
Arizona D-backs at Los Angeles Dodgers (10:10am)
The Diamondbacks head to Dodger Stadium for the last series against the Dodgers in the regular season. They come into the first match as the underdog but they’ve won 10 straight games and the Wolf likes there chances of an upset. They swept the Dodgers at home just last week and they swept the Rockies before this series. Robbie Ray is their starter and he earned a win against the Dodgers last Thursday in a 6-4 victory. He has earned just 2 runs in his last 11.2 innings and the D-Backs are 3-1 in his last four games on the road (excluding injury in St Louis). Against the Dodgers, he has a 2-0 record since late 2016 and he has 23 total strikeouts in 12 innings pitched at Dodger Stadium. On the other side, the Dodgers are coming off three straight losses against the mediocre Padres. They have a 1-8 record in their past 9 games as well. Rich Hill gets the ball for the Dodgers and the D-Backs scored 6 runs against him last week. His ERA at home this season is a respectable 3.17 and his W-L record is 5-3. But he’s 0-3 against D-Backs since last season. Based on the fact the D-Backs just scored 6 earned runs against him, the Wolf sees the D-Backs as the value bet. They’ve won 10 straight games and at $2.35, this has a high chance of succeeding.
