Just a handful of games on offer in the MLB but that doesn’t mean we can’t find some winners!

Arizona D-backs at San Francisco Giants (12:10pm)

Tip: Over 8 runs ($1.98)

The NL West rivalry between the Giants and D-backs continues this Tuesday. The away side has moved into first position in the division so this will be a key series for both sides. They’re both coming into this series with winning streak’s as well. The Giants have won 4 in a row and swept the Phillies at home. Meanwhile, the D-backs batting lineup came alive in a 3 game sweep of the Marlins as they outscored them 21-4. So the Wolf is finding it hard to split these sides in terms of a winner. Looking at the pitching matchup, runs should be on the agenda in this one. The Giants will put the ball in the right-hand of Derek Holland (3-6, 4.94 ERA). He’s coming off 3 starts that have seen 10 total runs allowed. His ERA at home is very high at 5.75 and team’s like the D-backs have found it easy to get on base. While for the D-backs, Zack Godley heads to the hill. His ERA sits at 4.38 and his win-loss record is 5-4. He’s a better pitcher at home with a 2.93 ERA compared to his 5.81 ERA on the road. So the in-form Giants should enjoy this matchup. He’s also coming off a 6 earned outing in Milwaukee and the D-backs are just 2-4 in his last 6 starts. So in the end, the Wolf is liking the overs between two in-form teams.

Atlanta Braves at San Diego Padres (12:10pm)

Tip: Braves WIN ($2.02)

In this preview, the Wolf will be looking at the Padres and the Braves at Petco Park on Tuesday. The Padres are just favourites in the betting, however the Wolf is liking an upset. The NL East leading Braves are 19-12 on the road this season. They also come off a gritty 3-1 series win over the Nationals. So they should be coming to San Diego with confidence. The Padres have beaten up on the poor Reds and woeful Marlins lately at home but the Braves will prove a tougher challenge. On the mound, the Padres give the ball to Clayton Richard. He has a high ERA of 4.74 in season 2018 and a poor 3-6 win-loss record. His record against the Braves is really poor as well with an ERA of 5.72 and 5 straight losses. In contrast, the Braves Julio Teheran (4-3, 4.03 ERA this season) is 3-0 against the Padres since 2016. He has pitched well enough in his last 2 overall outings to get the win here. Against the Mets and Red Sox, he’s gone over 100 pitches and should continue his good record at this venue. So mainly based on Richard’s record against the Braves, the Wolf is getting on the Braves here.
