The Wolf is looking to bounce back on Thursday and is backing the Rangers as his best bet against the A’s who are 0-4 in Sean Manaea’s last 4 road starts.

Oakland A’s at Texas Rangers (10:05am) (Best)

Tip: Rangers WIN ($1.60)

The Oakland A’s are just a pesky team that won’t disappear, even though they are very likely to miss the post season action. They have split the first two games of the series after winning comfortably on Wednesday and will now face Yu Darvish (3-2, 3.12 ERA) in game three with every intention of continuing to be that annoying group. The Rangers are in poor form at the moment with a 4-6 record in their last 10 games, seeing their AL West lead shrink in the meantime. Fortunately for them, the Astros have struggled against the Yanks which has helped matters slightly. However Texas are still tied for the best record in the AL and hold an impressive 58-43 record. Texas will face Sean Manaea (3-5, 4.61 ERA) who in the Wolf’s opinion doesn’t have the stuff to compete with the Rangers lineup. The A’s are 0-4 in his last 4 road starts and 2-7 in their last nine road starts overall. Oakland got the cash on Wednesday but facing Darvish is a different prospect, look for the Rangers to bounce back in this one and likely cover the handicap too.

Arizona Diamondbacks at Milwaukee Brewers (10:10am)

Tip: Brewers WIN ($1.74)

Milwaukee have scored 16 runs in this series already in just two games and will attempt to take game three of the four game series Thursday. The Brewers have amassed 23 hits and outscored the DBacks 16-6 with 9 of those runs coming in game two on Wednesday, sending Arizona to its sixth loss in seven games. Ryan Braun is riding an 11 game hit streak and does not look like slowing down any time soon after scoring three of those nine runs himself. Milwaukee will start Jimmy Nelson (6-8, 3.40 ERA) against Arizona’s Archie Bradley (3-6, 4.44 ERA). Nelson doesn’t have a great record despite giving up two or fewer runs in six of his last nine starts. He is 1-0 with a 2.77 ERA in two career attempts against Arizona. Bradley is 0-3 in his last six and is coming off a season high five walks in five innings against the Reds. Wednesday was a high scoring affair and there is every chance we see the total go over in this one too.
