Boston Red Sox at Baltimore Orioles (Best)

Tip: Over 10 runs ($1.91)

Boston have turned what was a very close AL East title race in to a breakaway lead, unlikely to be caught by seasons end. They come in to this game looking for their seventh straight win and seal the series against the Orioles at Camden Yards. The Red Sox will do so by facing righty Ubaldo Jimenez (7-11, 5.94 ERA) who has been solid enough in his last five turns. His last game against Tampa was a bit rocky though, allowing four runs through seven innings while sending eight back to the dugout. Boston counter with Clay Buchholz (7-10, 5.20 ERA) who is desperately clinging to the No 3 starting spot in the rotation. He’s had an average season so far and it isn’t any better against Baltimore, going 0-2 with a 6.35 ERA in three games that includes one start against the O’s. The first two games have gone under and totalled seven runs in each but they had decent pitchers on the mound. This game, not so much. Both pitchers are fade pitchers and horrible to watch. The over is 8-2 in Jimenez’s last 10 starts vs teams with winning records and it’s 4-1 in Buchholz’s last 5 road starts vs the
Orioles. This is going over.

Chicago White Sox at Philadelphia Phillies

Tip: White Sox WIN ($1.58)

Philly have been a great team to watch in recent weeks seeing the players of their future go to work. Philadelphia picked up the game one win on Wednesday behind their youthful bats, even though the White Sox came charging at them in the top of the ninth inning. Meanwhile the White Sox are fading fast and are looking more and more likely to finish the season with a sub .500 record. They’ve tallied up four straight losses and their pitching staff have blown up, allowing 25 runs in their last three games. It doesn’t get any easier for Chicago as they have the AL Central leading Indians up next. They send Chris Sale (16-8, 3.03 ERA) to the mound who threw a league leading sixth complete game in his last turn. He has also thrown at least eight innings in six straight contests now. This will be the first time Sale will see the Phillies but is 6-3 with a 2.80 ERA in interleague play for his career. Chicago pitchers have been terrible of recent but with Sale on the mound that all changes. They are 9-2 in his last 11 vs teams with losing records which includes a 4-1 record in his last 5. Hopefully the
bullpen can hold on or Sale throws another complete.
