The best bet may have gone down on Thursday but after a 10-3 performance who can complain. The Wolf has now posted a positive record on every day since the All Star break. Bring on the Friday fillup!

Minnesota Twins at Boston Red Sox (9:10am) (Best Bet)

Tip: Team Total Boston Over 5.5 runs ($1.78)

Didn’t Hanley Ramirez have a day out against the Giants on Thursday, going 3 for 3 while belting 3 HR’s and driving in an amazing six RBI’s. He will look to continue this form when the Minnesota Twins travel to Fenway Park for their only appearance there this season. Boston will see this four game series as a great opportunity to try and put some distance between them and Baltimore in the AL East. Although they are in last, Minnesota have managed to put back to back wins together and take the series from Detroit. It’s going to be a bit tougher in Boston where they will send starters 2-5 out to face the most potent offence in the majors. Steven Wright (11-5, 2.78 ERA) will be handed the ball for Boston while Tyler Duffey (5-6, 5.23 ERA) will throw for the Twins. Duffey is 3-0 in his last three starts and while he has pitched well of late, he has some poor form against Boston. He faced them back in June and allowed six runs from 10 hits through 5.1 innings. Boston in their park is going to be very difficult to keep quiet.

SD Padres at St Louis Cardinals (9:15am)

Tip: Cardinals WIN ($1.47)

St Louis have suddenly found a way to win at home and will now look to wrap up a sweep of the visiting San Diego Padres. They have won three in a row at home for just the second time this season. Jedd Gyorko continues to destroy his former team in this series going 7 for 10 with four HR’s and will be eager to do more damage against Padres starter Andrew Cashner (4-7, 5.05 ERA). Cashner was scheduled to start our preview game from two days ago before it was postponed and will now face the resurgent Adam Wainwright (9-5, 4.15 ERA). He has done very well to re-establish himself as the main man in St Louis and that was on show last start when he held the Marlins to a three hit shutout, his first in two seasons. He is 3-0 in his last three starts and has a 0.39 ERA in the month of July. It’s hard to go past Wainwright and the form the Cardinals have suddenly found at home. If you like to play run lines the under is a heavy trend for both San Diego and St Louis respectively. It’s also 5-1 in the last 6 meetings in St Louis.
