Wednesday was full of winners with The Wolf going 7-4. The great man has his eye in at the moment so you can be sure that Thursday with be another profitable day.

Milwaukee Brewers at Pittsburgh Pirates (9:05am) (Best)

Tip: Pirates WIN ($1.65)

Pittsburgh aren’t winning pretty of late but they are still winning. Their bats have slowed down and their bullpen isn’t looking as solid as it was in the first half of the season. They will look to pick up their third straight win and claim the series on Thursday when they take on the Brewers. The Bucs have totaled just six runs in their last four games and one of those contests was an 18 innings game! The luckiest man in Pittsburgh is closer Mark Melancon who has blown two saves since the break but fortunately his side went on to win to bail him out, one via a Sterling Marte HR in the 18th and another via a throwing error in the bottom of the ninth to seal a 3-2 win. Milwaukee’s season is over already and they have struggled to put runs over the plate themselves, scoring two runs or fewer in four of their last six. Both Jeff Locke (8-5, 5.26 ERA) and Chase Anderson (4-10, 5.44 ERA) could use a change in fortunes but tipping it’s Locke that will see the better result in this one.

SF Giants at Boston Red Sox (9:10am)

Tip: Red Sox -1.5 ($2.05)

It’s widely known across the league that the Red Sox were concerned about their pitching rotation after their big money splash on David Price hasn’t delivered the expected results. They have made two moves over the All Star break to try and shore up their pitching and one of those moves was acquiring Drew Pomeranz (8-7, 2.47 ERA) from the San Diego Padres. Pomeranz has seen plenty of the Giants in his career coming from the NL West and he dominated his final three starts before the break. He allowed just the one run and 10 hits from 21 innings. He had one of his best starts of the year against the Giants back in May, allowing just two hits and seven scoreless innings. He will face SF starter Matt Cain (1-5, 5.34 ERA) who is a well-known fade pitcher. In other words, when you see his name you should always lean towards the other team. The Giants are 1-6 in his last 7 road starts and they are 0-4 overall in Boston. Given Boston’s great home form and the Giants struggles since the break, we should see Boston easily claim this one against a poor pitcher.
