The Wolf went 6-8 on Saturday. The less said the better. The one positive though was the Yankees best bet getting up. Love a good underdog play! Now for Sunday.

MLB Feature Previews

Detroit Tigers at Texas Rangers (10:05am)

Tip: Rangers WIN ($1.56)

The Rangerstook the opener Saturday with an 8-5 score line behind four home runs, three of which coming from the new guys in Beltran and Lucroy hitting two. They now have ace Cole Hamels (12-3, 2.89 ERA) going to the mound on Sunday and he’ll look to continue his post break dominance. His ERA is 1.83 since the break and posted four quality starts en route to a 3-1 record. Charged with trying to slow down the Rangers offence will be Matt Boyd (3-2, 4.69 ERA) who had his start pushed back after going in for relief innings against Seattle at the start of the week. He hasn’t factored in a lot of decisions this season, starting 10 games but only getting the decision against in half of them. This shows there is opportunity for a powerful Rangers line-up to get to Boyd early and get the jump. All the trends favour the Rangers, going 14-2 in Hamels last 16 starts overall and 4-1 in his last 5 vs teams with a winning record. The Tigers are in a bit of free fall at the moment and it’s hard to back them here. Rangers win and easily.

Chicago White Sox at Miami Marlins (9:10am)

Tip: Marlins WIN ($1.56)

If theMarlins don’t find some answers to their woes with the bat at the moment they will find themselves falling out of postseason play. After scoring just four runs in their last three games, Miami will look towards getting back on track against White Sox start James Shields (5-14, 5.43 ERA). Shields has pitched just 6.1 innings in his last two games while giving up 14 runs on 15 hits. His last start was an absolute disaster against Baltimore, bombed four times in a pathetic 1.1 innings. Opposing Shields will be Miami starter Adam Conley (8-6, 3.70 ERA) who has gone 4-1 in his last seven efforts. Conley hasn’t been the prettiest pitcher to watch in that period but he’s managing to get the wins on the back of run support. His last four at home have gone well though, sitting 3-0 with a 1.37 ERA. The Marlins need to keep winning if they want to hold on to that wild card spot and against Shields they get a chance to find some form again.
