The Wolf’s Sunday MLB multi will include: the Cardinals/Braves over 9 runs, the Dodgers by 1.5, under total runs for the Yankees/Red Sox clash and a Cubs victory.
Atlanta Braves at St. Louis Cardinals (9:15am)
The Cardinals are one of the hottest teams in MLB after seven straight wins. They’re chasing the Cubs for the NL Central lead and Atlanta will find it tough in this matchup. The Cardinals also won the first game of this series, 8-5. In those seven wins, they’ve scored a total of 62 runs (8.85 per game). Carlos Martinez gets the ball for this game and the Cardinals have scored 10 or more runs in three of his last four starts. But the Braves will also have run scoring opportunities as Martinez has allowed 5 runs in three straight home starts. He also gave up 6 earned runs in his last home start against the Braves. While for the Braves, Lucas Sims has made two starts in his MLB career and he lost both. He allowed 4 runs against the Marlins and 3 against the Dodgers. Both of those games were at home, so this will be a challenging start on the road against the in-form Cardinals. So the best value bet in this game is the over total runs. The over total is 3-0 in the Cardinals last three home games and 6-0 overall in their last six games. The Braves are 1-9 in their last 10 away games and the Wolf says the Cardinals will score heavily again. Back the over total runs.
Los Angeles Angels at Seattle Mariners (11:10am)
In the late game on Sunday, the Angels and Mariners play in Seattle. In the pitching matchup, JC Ramirez of the Angels takes on Erasmo Ramirez from the Mariners. Erasmo Ramirez was acquired from the Rays a few weeks ago as the Mariners have four starting pitchers on the disabled list. But his two starts as a Mariner have been poor. He allowed 3 home runs against the Royals and 2 homers against the Rangers. The Mariners are 1-1 in his two starts and they lost 9-1 against the Royals. Although, he has a 3-1 career record against the Angels and could turnaround his form against them. While for the Angels, JC Ramirez is coming off 6 earned runs against the Orioles but he has a 7-4 record on the road this season. The Angels have a 2-2 record in his last four away starts and the two losses were by a run. So the best value bet in this game is the under runs. The under total is 8-2 in JC Ramirez’s last 10 starts. While Erasmo Ramirez has struggled in both of his two appearances for the Mariners, this game is at home and the Wolf is predicting a better showing for him. The Wolf says back the under total of 9.5 runs.
