Well the Mets and Nationals went over the total runs. They’re currently locked at 5-5 in extra innings so the Wolf will move onto Tuesday’s action.
Seattle Mariners at Kansas City Royals (10:15am)
The Mariners road-trip continues to Kansas City and the betting suggests this will be a close contest. But of the two sides, the Wolf is liking the Mariners early season form. The top three in the lineup are in form with new addition Dee Gordon and Robinson Cano batting .440 already. So it’s going to be a tough start for Junis of the Royals. He did dominate the Tigers lineup in his last outing, going 7 innings and allowed just 3 hits. But the Mariners will be a challenge. They smashed the Twins 11-4 in their last game and should have more runs in them compared to the Royals. In the Royals last five games, they’ve only scored 5 total runs. Without Eric Hosmer this season, this has hurt their batting lineup. Especially Mike Moustakas who’s yet to homer in 2018 (38 last season) and is batting just .222 so far. The Mariners are starting lefty Marco Gonzales and he did give up 2 home runs in his last start. But they were late into his outing and he still earned the win. So he should able to start well against the Royals struggling lineup. In the end, the Mariners should win this.
Arizona D-backs at San Francisco Giants (12:15pm)
The last game of the day takes place in San Francisco between the Giants and Diamondbacks. The D-Backs have kicked off the season with a 7-2 record and beat the Cardinals 2-1 in a 3 game series. Meanwhile, the Giants played in a tough home series against the Dodgers. Both games went into extra innings and the Giants went 1-1. But this pitching matchup will be in the Diamondbacks favour. Zach Godley dominated the Dodgers lineup in his last start. He went 7 strong innings and allowed just 4 hits. Which was against Clayton Kershaw. The Giants just faced Kershaw on Monday morning and the Wolf likes Godley’s form to continue. Derek Holland is up for the Giants and he gave up 3 runs in 5 innings against the Dodgers. The Giants lost 5-0. His ERA is 4+ over the last 4 seasons, so that doesn’t fill the Wolf with confidence. He’ll be backing the D-Backs in this contest.
