NFL Preview: Championship Weekend
Monday 23rd January, 7.05am
Green Bay @ Atlanta: Green Bay +5 ($1.91)
The Packers travel to Atlanta to take on Falcons in the NFC Championship Game. The Wolf’s picking the Packers as underdogs – they’re on an 8-game winning streak and it’s impossible to tip against quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who continues to pull off clutch plays and threw four touchdowns in the last meeting with the Falcons. The Packers are also 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games against the Falcons in Atlanta and 5-0 ATS in their last 5 playoff games. Meanwhile, the Falcons are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 playoff games, while the underdog (Packers in this case) is 8-2 ATS in their last 10 meetings. A field goal decides this one. Take the Packers straight up and with the start. The overs is also a play despite the big total game score of 60.5. Over is 6-0 in the Packers last 6 games overall, while the over is 9-0 in the Falcons last 9 home games.
Monday 23rd January, 10.40am
Pittsburgh @ New England: New England -5.5 ($1.91)
The Patriots will welcome Big Ben and his Steelers to Foxborough to decide the champion of the AFC. The Wolf’s picking the Patriots at the line – they’ve only dropped two games all season and got the job done 27-16 in Week 7 in Pittsburgh. Patriots running back LeGarrette Blount had a day to remember, rushing for 127 yards and scoring two touchdowns. Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger missed the clash in Week 7, but is a different player when he isn’t suiting up at Heinz Field. The Patriots are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home playoff games and should do the double over the Steelers, who are 4-11 ATS in their last 15 meetings with the Patriots.
Best Record: 13-6
