NFL Draft Markets Tip Sheet
The Wolf has been following the NFL Draft circus ever so closely and has come up with the winning bets in William Hill’s NFL Draft Markets.
Overall No.1 Pick: Myles Garrett ($1.08) 💰
There are murmurs around town that the Browns are seriously considering taking North Carolina Quarterback Mitchell Trubisky with the first overall pick but The Wolf is not buying it. Myles Garrett is freak athlete and has performed like one. He is easily the best player in this draft and will be the pick for the analytics driven front office of the Cleveland Browns.
#2 Overall Pick: Mitchell Trubisky ($4.00) 💰
The Wolf likes North Carolina Quarterback Mitchell Trubisky to be the second pick on Friday despite a number of players (Leonard Fournette, Solomon Thomas, Jamal Adams and Christian McCaffrey) being linked to the 49ers. Not only do the 49ers desperately need a QB, even with the additions of Brian Hoyer & Matt Barkley, there is also the chance the 49ers trade out of the pick with another QB needy team like Browns, Jets or Bills. The Bills are on record of loving Trubisky. The $4 is incredibly juicy here.
First OL Drafted: Garrett Bolles ($2.75) 💰
The NFL apparently loves the 24 year old Utah Ute more than draft media does. Bolles has been flying under the radar on many mock drafts over the last few weeks but rumours are swirling that some NFL teams are considering taking him in the top 15 and that they are in love with his toughness and technique. In a very weak offensive line class, Bolles could very easily rise to the top.
Over/Under 3.5 1st Round Quarterbacks: Over 3.5 ($2.70)
Mitchell Trubisky, Pat Mahomes & Deshaun Watson should all hear their names called on the infamous Rocky Steps on Day One of the Draft in Philadelphia. The Wolf is banking on a quarterback desperate team like Chicago, San Francisco and Jacksonville to trade back up into the first to select DeShone Kizer or Davis Webb and get that 5th year option.
Over/Under 4.5 Alabama Players Selected in Round 1: Under 4.5 ($2.05) 💰
Given how dominant the Alabama defence was last season this bet does seem a little out there but hear The Wolf out. Alabama haven’t had 4+ players drafted in the first round since 2012 (hey Trent Richardson!) and a couple of their players have had their draft stock fall in recent weeks through various reasons. The Wolf thinks either Foster, Robinson or Humphrey will be available on Day 2.
Tyus Bowser Draft Position: Round 1 ($1.87)
The Wolf loves this prospect and not just because his surname reminds us of many hours spent playing Mario Kart. Bowser’s stock has been rising ever since he showed his insane versatility and athleticism at the NFL combine where tested in the 90th percentile at his position in most of the position drills. Bowser will be drafted in Round 1.
Mr Irrelevant: Kicker/Punter ($10)
This is a bit of a long shot but nothing would please The Wolf more than seeing the only Australian in this draft class, Cam Johnston, being drafted as Mr Irrelevant. Not only does it mean he gets drafted and has a genuine shot to make the final 53 man roster but he gets all the goodies and fun associated with the prestigious honour of being Mr Irrelevant.
