Brazil 2016: Swimming Night 7
It was a rough night in the pool for the Aussies with the Campbell sisters failing to medal and Mitch Larkin coming up short. Phelps again stole the show and will look to claim yet another gold in pet event – the 100m butterfly.
Women’s 800m Freestyle (Sat 10:44am)
This may seem hard to believe bu Ledecky is actually value at $1.01. She cannot be beat but that does not mean that we cannot turn a profit in the race. The Wolf is turning to another Aussie to grab a medal and this time it is Jessica Ashwood. She has posted the best time outside of Ledecky dating back to the start of last year and at $1.90 to medal she is over the odds.
Bet: Ashwood To Win A Medal ($1.90)
Women’s 200m Backstroke (Sat 11:05am)
Hungary’s Katinka Hosszu has been the star of the pool for the women with three gold medals and she will start a red hot favourite in the 200m backstroke. The Wolf says she will be winning this by multiple body lengths but says he has found some value in the race. Aussie Belinda Hocking is a genuine chance at a medal. The race will be for second and Hocking will lead the chase for silver.
Bet: Hocking To Win A Medal ($1.50)
Men’s 50m Freestyle (Sat 11:14am)
As we have seen in the shorter distance swimming events, anything can happen, and Manadou should not be odds on. Despite being the Olympic and world champion The Wolf is happy to back around him and is leaning to one of the Americans to cause the upset. Nathan Adrian was every chance in the 100m final and has also been very strong in the heats. He swan the fastest split time in the 100m relay and is every chance of winning this one. He is great value to win at the $7 quote, as is Bruno Fratus to medal. The Brazilian will be riding the home crowd and over the 50m distance they can lift him into a medal at $6.
Bet: Nathan Adrian WIN ($7.00)
Other: Bruno Frattus To Medal ($6.00)
